Sachs Pressure Plate
The best way to think of your pressure plate is to imagine it as a kind of spring loaded clamp connected to your flywheel. Together, they squeeze the clutch disc to create the necessary friction to transmit energy from your engine to your transmission. Your pressure plate has many different parts: a metal ring that helps the clutch disc create friction, release levers and springs, and a ring or fingers for the release bearing to latch onto, all enclosed in a sheet metal casing. There can be some variation in the springs (either diaphragm or multiple coil), and high performance versions might have a few weights on the diaphragm springs, but for the most part they are all pretty similar. If any of the many parts that make up your pressure plate fail, however, you need to replace it. When that time comes, you simply can't do better than the best quality pressure plate you can find anywhere….a Sachs pressure plate. Sachs doesn't use asbestos to create friction in their clutch systems, so you know you won't have to worry about inhaling some of that hazardous, cancer-causing stuff when you handle any of their parts. Professional Formula 1 drivers depend on Sachs, and so can you! Auto enthusiasts understandably desire fantastic technical support while buying reliable auto parts for their car or truck. Thus, we created an always-online service call center to support all your questions. If you find a better price, tell us - we will meet or beat any advertised price for auto parts.
