Sachs Clutch Cable
You can find your clutch cable by looking at its two end points. One is linked to the clutch pedal. There should also be a spring at this point to keep the pedal in an “up” position. The other end is attached to the clutch release fork. When you press on the clutch pedal, it causes the cable to pull on the release fork, which makes the release bearing press onto the pressure plate. This uncomplicated system is the most common type of clutch linkage on newer passenger cars, and it works pretty well. However, with time, the clutch cable stretches and eventually breaks. A good indication that this has happened is when the clutch pedal can be depressed but you can't put the transmission into gear. That's your clearest sign that you need to replace the clutch cable. But don't settle for just any clutch cable out there. Use only a Sachs clutch cable. Sachs is renowned for taking the best technology from Formula 1 racing and applying it to everyday vehicles like your car. Their quality construction ensures that a clutch cable from Sachs will last and perform reliably for a long time to come.
