Hooker Y Pipe

For many years now, Hooker Headers has been a manufacturer of high quality exhaust components. They are a division of the Holley company, a name that has been synonymous with racing for decades now. Holley carburetors are used on every NASCAR vehicle and NHRA Top Fuel drag racing car. Everything that Hooker makes is about power, and they have been responsible for more wins on the Top Fuel circuit than any other manufacturer of racing exhaust systems. Of course, they number one product is their headers, but they produce many other exhaust components as well. If you are building up a racing vehicle that will not be used on the street, you can delete the catalytic converter, which is the exhaust component that takes more power away from the engine than anything else. If you delete the car, but do not want to run the exhaust right off of the headers, or you need to have a muffler, then you need a section of pipe to fill in the place of the cat. Hooker Y pipes fill that role. The bent Hooker Y pipe takes the two sections of exhaust coming off of the headers and channels them down into one wider section, much as a catalytic converter would do. They can split again later on at the muffler section. The Hooker Y pipe is not street legal in states that have emissions requirements.
