Hedman Y Pipe
The Hedman Hedders Company has been making exhaust systems for over fifty years. Hedman has always been synonymous with high quality exhaust components, and has continuously been on the cutting edge of exhaust technology. Hedman was one of the first exhaust manufacturers to introduce aeronautical engineering principles into their designs and manufacturing processes. They produce many different exhaust components: Hedman Hedders, Hedman H Pipes, and Hedman Y pipes. While Hedman primarily manufactures exhaust components for American vehicles, they have recently started producing components for some imports as well. Hedman has developed their components always with racing in mind. As a result, some of their exhaust components, such as the Hedman Y Pipes, are only designed for use in vehicles that are not subject to emissions requirements. The Hedman Y pipes take the place of the catalytic converter. Since the catalytic converter robs a great deal of power from the engine for its function, elimination of the cat frees up a lot of power to drive the wheels.
